On Monday 24th August 2009 Leeds Innovation Centre received an accreditation from ict active. We are ict active Excellent which applies to Part Fitted premises which, in addition to complying with all the requirements for a part fitted building, it also meets some of the infrastructure requirements of a ready to occupy building. In particular, the Excellent level indicates the availability of electrical supply and telecommunications cabling in the office space as well as to the building.

ict active is the national standard for the provision of Information Communications Technology (ICT) in office buildings. It surveys both the infrastructure and services provided by a building and is designed to promote commercial properties that have a high quality ICT offering. ict active is based on a British Standards Institute Publicly Available Specification (PAS 700) published in Spring 2009. People looking to sell, lease, buy or rent commercial property can all benefit from ict active.

Being ict active Excellent means that our office space is available part-fitted and requires further fitting-out with ICT facilities and services before it is ready to occupy. On top of this we are very close to meeting the criteria for Ready to Occupy.

On 31st August the Leeds Innovation Centre Hub and Leeds Bioincubator also received the ict active Excellent accreditation.
